Taiwan Receives U.S. Missiles with a Range of Up to 300 Kilometers
Taiwan received the first batch of U.S.-made missile systems, with a maximum range of 300 kilometers, according to a military source quoted by Taiwan’s Central News Agency (CNA).
The source, who was not named, said the first batch of MGM-140 tactical missile systems purchased by Taiwan from the United States had been delivered recently.
However, the exact number of units delivered in the first batch was not disclosed due to confidentiality, according to the German News Agency.
The MGM-140 system is a tactical supersonic ballistic missile originally designed and manufactured by the now-defunct U.S. defense company Ling-Temco-Vought, currently being sold by Lockheed Martin.
