Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, held a meeting to discuss the government’s upcoming agenda with ministers and senior officials.
Foreign Minister Ali Youssef described the meeting in a press statement as positive and productive, focusing on general guidelines for the ministries’ work in the coming period. He stressed that the Foreign Ministry is committed to working as a unified team to achieve the goals of the next phase.
Minister of Trade and Supply Omar Ahmed Mohamed Banfeir stated that the discussion included future plans, programs, and projects of his ministry, with a focus on ensuring essential goods for citizens and improving their standard of living, as well as addressing issues in the export sector. He assured that all obstacles and challenges facing the ministry’s work would be resolved.
In addition, Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Omar Bakhit Mohamed Adam shared updates with the Sovereignty Council on his ministry’s plans and projects for the upcoming period. He stated that the meeting addressed the need to advance the ministry’s work in managing endowments, as well as issues related to Hajj and Umrah. Furthermore, the discussion emphasized unifying religious discourse across platforms and promoting the rejection of racism and harmful practices in society.
