The official spokesman for the Joint Forces of the Armed Struggle Movements, Major Ahmed Hussein Mahjoub, stated that several residential neighborhoods in Al-Fashir experienced intense clashes on Friday initiated by the rebellious RSF militia.
According to the news site Al-Muhaqiq, Hussein said that the armed forces, along with the Joint Forces and volunteers, successfully repelled the attack, inflicting heavy losses on the attackers. The militia is currently being pursued on the eastern outskirts of Al-Fashir.
Hussein highlighted that the armed forces, the Joint Forces of the Armed Struggle Movements, and the popular resistance valiantly thwarted several attacks by the RSF militia on Al-Fashir in recent days, inflicting severe casualties in both personnel and equipment.
He added that after suffering devastating losses, the RSF militia has resorted to spreading rumors and propaganda in an attempt to mislead the public and boost the morale of their crumbling forces.
The Joint Forces spokesperson emphasized that the real battle against the militia and their mercenaries would commence soon. Operations to drive them out of Al-Fashir, other cities in the Darfur region, and other Sudanese cities are set to begin imminently.
