Ten Killed in Israeli Shelling of UNRWA School Sheltering Displaced People in Gaza
The Palestinian news agency reported on Saturday that ten civilians were killed and around 20 others were injured in an Israeli shelling that targeted a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school sheltering displaced people in Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The agency added that the “Abu Asi School,” operated by UNRWA, had previously been targeted several times during the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, noting that the death toll from Saturday’s “massacre” is expected to rise.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced on Saturday that sirens were activated in several towns near the Gaza Strip, warning of incoming rockets. The army did not provide further details.
