UAE Threatens to Cut Off Supplies to Militia if Al-Fashir Is Not Controlled

Sudan Events – Agencies
A well-informed source close to the Chadian presidency told Sudan Tribune that the UAE has informed the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia that it may cease its support if they fail to take control of Al-Fashir by November 15.
Chad plays a key role in providing military and logistical support to the militia by offering access to its airports and border crossings for the transfer of military equipment and logistical supplies to Darfur.
According to the source, the RSF has started exploring alternative sources of support from the UAE by exchanging gold for weapons through Nyala Airport, which has recently witnessed increased activity.
Media reports also indicated the resumption of artisanal mining operations in the Singo mine in South Darfur, an area under RSF control.
