40 People Killed by Militia Gunfire in a Village in Al-Jazirah

Forty people were killed in an attack by members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on the village of Wad Ashib in Al-Jazirah State, a doctor reported on Wednesday.
A witness from Wad Ashib told AFP over the phone that the RSF militia launched an attack starting Tuesday evening and resumed it Wednesday morning, noting that the attackers were engaging in “looting operations.”
A doctor at Wad Rawah Hospital, north of the village, told AFP, speaking anonymously for safety reasons due to repeated attacks on medical teams, that “the forty individuals were directly shot.”
