The Sudanese army has announced that it has regained control of the Alkindi area in Sennar State.
According to a statement from the Sudanese army, the special forces of the 17th Infantry Division – Sennar, supported by the reserve battalion of the 4th Division in the Blue Nile region, seized the town of Alkindi and several areas along the same axis from North Rosiers to the village of Abu Tiga, north of Alkindi, on Thursday.
The statement added, “The RSF terrorist militia was expelled from the homes of citizens and civilian areas.”
The Alkindi area is located southeast of Sennar, near Karkoj and the entrance to the Wad Al-Eis Bridge on the eastern bank of the Blue Nile, leading to the city of Sennar.
