Sudan Events – Follow-up
On Saturday, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, arrived in Sennar City.
Al-Burhan announced the liberation of Sennar from the rebellion’s defilement and its return to the nation’s embrace, from the grip of the rebellious terrorist militia. He also announced the restoration of the 17th Infantry Division’s leadership and reviewed the ongoing operations in the Sennar axis.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief congratulated the Armed Forces, all other regular forces, the joint forces, the mobilized, and the Sudanese people on this great victory, emphasizing that this victory would lead to further success. He praised their great sacrifices in preserving the dignity and unity of the nation.
He affirmed the Armed Forces’ determination to liberate every inch of the country defiled by agents and traitors, and to defeat the terrorist militia targeting Sudan’s unity.
Al-Burhan said, “We dedicate this great victory to our people who have suffered from killing, displacement, oppression, looting, and all forms of violations and destruction by the terrorist militia of Al-Diqlo.” He further stressed the resolve to purify every inch of the homeland’s land that has been desecrated by this criminal militia.
The Commander-in-Chief wished for God’s mercy upon the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the injured, who fought valiantly to liberate the historic city of Sennar.
