The Sudanese Scholars Association has called for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to be classified as a terrorist militia. The association announced plans to organize a conference to mobilize scholars to support the dignity battle and back the armed forces under the slogan “The Role of Scholars in Today’s Crisis and the Crisis of the Future.” The conference will be sponsored by the Ministry of Finance and overseen by Minister of Religious Affairs Omar Bakhit Mohamed.
At a press conference held Wednesday in Port Sudan, the association revealed its intention to host a global conference to inform the world about the devastation and conspiracies against Sudan, emphasizing that the RSF is a terrorist militia.
The conference will feature scientific papers addressing strategic perspectives on the role of religious institutions in supporting the dignity battle, strategies for bloodshed prevention, and legal and religious evaluations of the RSF’s insurgency. Additional topics include the role of religious institutions in fostering peaceful coexistence and societal cohesion, with participation from nine Sudanese states.
