Trump Appoints Close Former General as Envoy to Ukraine and Russia
Sudan Events – Agencies
On Wednesday, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced that he had appointed former General Keith Kellogg, a close ally, as an envoy to Ukraine and Russia, according to Agence France-Presse.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, “He has been with me from the beginning. Together, we will achieve peace through strength and make America and the world safe again.”
Trump strongly criticized the billions of dollars the U.S. has sent to Ukraine, pledging to end the war between Moscow and Kyiv even before taking office in January, but without explaining how he would do so.
Kellogg had previously chaired the National Security Council, which is the White House’s foreign policy office, during Trump’s first term.
