The Director General of Customs Forces, Major General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, revealed that the Customs Forces have achieved over 163% of the targeted revenue for this year. He considered this achievement as a testament to the dedication of the personnel and their awareness of the critical responsibility required to steer the country toward stability.
While addressing the Anti-Smuggling Forces in the Red Sea State on Sunday, the Director of Customs highlighted the ambitious plans and strategies being implemented by the customs leadership, which are expected to positively impact operations.
He commended the significant efforts of the Anti-Smuggling Forces across various states and their successive seizures, which he described as a key element in the fight for national dignity.
Major General Salah affirmed the department’s commitment to enhancing job satisfaction and urged his personnel to maintain unity, solidarity, and intensified efforts to boost the country’s economy.
During his visit, he inspected a major seizure made on Sunday, involving 10 vehicles loaded with toxic cyanide and large quantities of smuggled fuel.
In a related development, several modern vehicles and combat equipment were inaugurated. These additions are considered a significant enhancement to the Anti-Smuggling Forces’ capabilities in combating smuggling networks.
