Sudan Events – Agencies
The administration of Zamzam Camp in North Darfur announced on Monday that at least 8 people were killed and 13 others were injured after renewed shelling by the Rapid Support Forces militia on the camp for the second consecutive day.
A statement issued by the media room of Zamzam Camp confirmed that “eight martyrs were counted and 13 others were injured in artillery shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on the camp over two days.”
The statement strongly condemned the targeting carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on Zamzam using heavy long-range artillery.
It called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to urgently intervene to protect the displaced and enforce international humanitarian law to immediately halt the targeting of refugee camps.
