On Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Yusuf held official talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Atti, who arrived in Sudan for a one-day official visit.
Minister Yusuf expressed gratitude to Egypt for its steadfast support of Sudan as it faces its national dignity war against the rebellious Rapid Support Forces militia, its mercenaries, and their regional backers.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s stance supporting Sudan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in its internal affairs. He assured that the Egyptian people stand by Sudanese people in their hardship and will continue to support them until they overcome this crisis.
The discussions covered all aspects of bilateral relations, and both sides agreed to activate all political, economic, and consular cooperation mechanisms between the two countries to strengthen their strategic relations and improve coordination between their leaderships on matters of mutual regional and international interest.
The two sides also addressed the challenges facing Sudanese nationals temporarily residing in Egypt due to the war, particularly regarding migration and educational issues. They agreed on practical and effective solutions to these matters in light of the long-standing relationship between the two brotherly nations.
