Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti stated that his visit to Sudan was of great importance.
Abdel Atti explained to the “Cairo News Channel” that Egypt is fully focused on halting the tragic war in Sudan, seeking an immediate ceasefire, and working towards restoring security and stability to Sudan.
He said, “The security of Sudan is part of the security of Egypt. Our role is to provide all possible facilitation and support to enable our Sudanese brothers to agree on a political solution within the framework of a civil state, with strong institutions, especially the Sudanese armed forces.”
Abdel Atti confirmed that he carried a message of solidarity, full support, and appreciation from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Sudan’s Sovereign Council President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. He added, “I carried a message of support and solidarity with the Sudanese state and its institutions, confirming that Egypt will spare no effort in supporting Sudan during this difficult period.”
