Foreign Minister Ali Yusuf announced that a comprehensive plan is in place and ready to evacuate the Sudanese community from Syria if the situation worsens in the country.
The Sudanese community in Syria is estimated to number around (1400) individuals, according to the Sudan News Agency.
The minister stated, according to Al-Muhadiq, that the Ministry’s leadership is in constant and direct communication with the Sudanese diplomatic mission in Damascus, which is currently headed by the chargé d’affaires. He also clarified that the chargé d’affaires is in regular contact with all members of the Sudanese community throughout Syria.
The minister reassured that the situation is under control and that there is no danger to the community, denying any reports of harm to any community member.
