Gibril: All Chad Governments Change from Sudan

Sudan Events – Agencies
The head of the Justice and Equality Movement and Minister of Finance, Gibril Ibrahim, advised Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby to refrain from supporting militias, reminding him that all governments in Chad since independence have changed due to Sudan. He added, “A mature person can read this carefully.”
Gibril stated, according to Asda Sudan website, that Mahamat Déby’s moves to support the militia are due to lack of experience, suggesting that there are promises and commitments from the UAE and France to protect him if he continues on this path. Gibril confirmed that they discussed with Déby his detachment from the militia, but he did not listen to them.
Gibril called for stopping reliance on foreign movements, emphasizing that real breakthroughs come through military victory. He stated, “The world believes in nothing but power. If we win, we will find the world on our side.” He pointed to the recent victories of the army, which have increased the frequency of visits from international officials, diplomats, and ministers. He added, “If we do not win, no one will see us, and the main factor depends on change on the ground.”
In a related context, Gibril stated that the Sudanese government’s visits to China and Russia worry and anger the Americans. He said, “We are sending them a message that you are not the end of the world.”
