Dismissal of 50 Tribal Leaders in North Darfur for Supporting Militia

The acting Governor of North Darfur, Hafiz Bakheet Mohamed, issued a decision to dismiss 50 agents and tribal chiefs in the state for allegedly supporting the Rapid Support Forces militia.
The decision included the dismissal of three agents from the tribal authorities in the Oasis locality, one from the Malit locality, four chiefs from the Um Kedada locality, one from the Al-Lait locality, along with two from Toysha, three from Koma, four from Kalmando, and one chief’s agent from Dar Al-Salam and another from the Umbru locality.
The Governor’s decision also included the dismissal of eight tribal leaders for nomads in the Sarf Omra locality, five from the Sarf Amra locality, and 19 from the tribal leaders in the Oasis locality.
The decision instructed the relevant authorities to file charges against those dismissed and bring them to justice.
