Sudan Events – Follow-up
The Minister of Culture and Information and government spokesperson, Khalid Al-Ayser, called on international and regional organizations interested in the cultural sector to contribute to the reconstruction of Sudan after the war through cultural activities, combating hate speech, and addressing attempts to fragment the national identity led by countries and organizations.
Al-Ayser, during his speech at the launch of the “Cultural Power for Peace” workshop organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information under the auspices of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science (ALECSO), praised the organization’s role in fostering emotional cohesion among nations and peoples, noting that culture is a vital tool for integration between communities.
The minister emphasized Sudan’s desire to cooperate with ALECSO and all organizations to help rebuild the country post-war.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Graham Abdelkader, stated that the rebellion has led to the destruction of media and cultural institutions in an attempt to change the cultural reality and erode the national values of the Sudanese people.
