Ministry of Finance Forms Technical Committee for Electronic Payment Emergencies

The Ministry of Finance issued a decision to form a technical committee for the Electronic Payment Emergency Room.

Abdullah Ibrahim, the Ministry’s Undersecretary, stated in a press interview at the ministry headquarters that the decision aims to regulate the execution of electronic payment systems and services.

This move is based on the Sovereign Council’s decision No. (15) regarding the formation of an oversight committee for the electronic payment emergency room. The technical committee will work on implementing the directives and decisions of the oversight committee, setting plans for electronic payment, making arrangements for opening bank accounts, and requiring all ministries, units, government companies, and public authorities to implement the electronic collection system (Esyali) for revenue collection. It will also raise public awareness about the importance of electronic payments and their various methods and types.

It is noted that the committee includes all relevant and concerned authorities.
