Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Sixth Infantry Division reported that airstrikes targeted positions of the Rapid Support Forces militia in eastern Al-Fasher, destroying a howitzer and killing 87 rebels.
The division explained on its Facebook page that the Armed Forces and the Joint Forces engaged in a fierce battle with the militia on Sunday in the Al-Bahashim area, east of Kermt, where they achieved a significant victory, inflicting heavy losses in both lives and equipment. It also noted that the remaining militia forces fled, confirming that this victory was an additional triumph for the Armed Forces and the Joint Forces over the rebel militia at the Al-Zarq base. This victory included the seizure of all military equipment, combat vehicles, strategic fuel and ammunition supplies, and the destruction of six militia camps in the Al-Zarq area, which had been a key source of the militia’s strength.
The division also reported that these defeats led to the mass retreat of militia forces from Al-Fasher to various other areas, and witnesses confirmed significant internal disputes within their ranks in the western fronts.
