The Sudanese Armed Forces thwarted a desperate attempt on Friday evening by the Rapid Support Forces militia to destabilize and threaten the security of the citizens in the Al-Tamtam area in the northern region.
The army successfully downed a drone launched by the Janjaweed militia towards the Al-Tamtam area without any casualties.
A senior military source told Asda’a Sudanese that this futile attempt by the terrorist Janjaweed militia comes as a cover-up for its defeats against our forces on all fronts.
The source added, “For this reason, they resort to disturbing the peace and stability of innocent, unarmed civilians, targeting civilian objects in clear violation of international humanitarian law, which constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
