The army and supporting units rescued 15 trapped families in the Al-Shuqla neighborhood on Friday, coinciding with a drone attack on the Al-Saleha neighborhood, the stronghold of the Janjaweed militia in Omdurman.
After a swift morning attack on Friday, the Special Operations Forces of the Engineering Corps (Texas) stormed the militia’s positions in the Al-Shuqla neighborhoods, killing dozens of Janjaweed members, whose bodies filled the streets. Among the casualties was the leader of Al-Saleha, whose double-cabin pickup truck was seized.
