The UAE welcomed the diplomatic efforts of Turkey to find a solution to the ongoing crisis in Sudan, noting that these efforts reflect Turkey’s deep commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region and contributing to enhancing relations between nations. The UAE expressed its readiness to cooperate and coordinate with Turkish efforts and all diplomatic efforts to end the conflict in Sudan and find a comprehensive solution to the crisis.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the UAE’s clear and firm position on the crisis, focusing primarily on achieving an immediate ceasefire and halting the internal fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces as soon as possible. The UAE is also focused on addressing the catastrophic humanitarian crisis by providing urgent humanitarian and relief support to the Sudanese people.
The ministry also confirmed that the UAE is working with all concerned parties, regional partners, and the international community to find a peaceful solution to the conflict, aiming to stop the escalation and ceasefire, and to start Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue that includes all political components and parties to the conflict, ensuring the Sudanese people’s aspirations for development, security, and prosperity. The ministry stressed the importance of respecting the obligations of the parties to the conflict under the Jeddah Declaration and the “Allies for Enhancing Life-Saving and Peace in Sudan” platform.
The ministry reiterated the importance of dialogue and negotiation as the only way to end the conflict, secure a political process, and build national consensus toward a government led by civilians. It called on all concerned parties to return to the negotiating table and actively participate in efforts to achieve peace in Sudan.
