Jaber: What Happened to the Economy During the War Was Systematic Destruction

On Sunday, member of the Sovereign Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Engineer General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, visited the Central Operations and Monitoring Room for Currency Exchange in Port Sudan, in the presence of the Governor of the Red Sea State, General Mustafa Mohamed Noor, General Khaled Hassan, the Director of the Police, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan.

Jaber praised the efforts of the operations room in monitoring the currency exchange process, stressing the need to continue the room’s work in overseeing the smooth and secure exchange process in both targeted and non-targeted states, as planned by the High Committee for Currency Exchange.

Jaber explained that what happened to the national economy during the war was systematic destruction aimed at weakening the Sudanese state, appreciating the efforts of the operations room, which has taken on this significant national responsibility to enhance the country’s security and economy.

On his part, Major General Kambal Hussein Kambal, Head of the Central Operations Room, explained that the visit was part of the periodic monitoring of the room’s work to ensure the currency exchange process and the central linkage of states through the room, as well as to remove any obstacles facing the implementation of the currency exchange process.

He praised the attention given by the Sovereign Council and the High Committee for Currency Exchange to monitoring the room’s operations.
