Al-Burhan: We Support the Central Bank in Carrying Out Its Strategic Tasks

On Wednesday, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, made an inspection visit to the Central Bank of Sudan to review the progress of the currency replacement process.
He was received at the bank’s headquarters by the Central Bank Governor, Burai Sadiq, along with several directors and executives.
The Sovereignty Council Chairman was briefed on the plan being implemented by the Central Bank to ensure a smooth and efficient currency replacement process.
He toured several departments at the bank and observed firsthand the efforts of employees in successfully executing the currency replacement process. He praised the high efficiency and determination of the Central Bank staff and banking sector employees despite the exceptional circumstances facing the country. Al-Burhan affirmed the state’s full support for the Central Bank in implementing its strategic tasks.
At the conclusion of his visit, Al-Burhan held a meeting with the Governor and his deputies, where he was updated on the progress of the currency replacement process, the challenges it faces, and the measures taken to overcome them.
