The Intelligence Division, led by the Second Infantry Division in Al-Qadarif, seized more than 70,000 rounds of Kalashnikov and BKC ammunition loaded on two trucks on Thursday.
The Wali of Al-Qadarif, Lieutenant General Muhammad Ahmed Hassan, praised the achievement during his inspection of the seizure, in the presence of the acting Wali of Kassala, Major General (Retired) Al-Sadiq Muhammad Al-Azraq, the commander of the Second Infantry Division in Al-Qadarif, Brigadier General Khalid Muhammad Sid Ahmed, and the head of the Intelligence Division in the brigade, Colonel Engineer Abdul-Aal Al-Amin. He commended the accomplishment, which confirms the vigilance of the Second Infantry Division and its handling of the war’s repercussions.
He called for the smugglers to be subjected to a swift trial, considering that their actions pose a threat to national security. He announced the allocation of 50% to the apprehending authority, affirming the government’s commitment to decisively address smuggling in all its forms.
