An imminent visit by a senior Turkish official to Sudan

On Saturday, the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Burhanettin Duran will arrive in Sudan for a two-day visit during which he will hold discussions with Foreign Minister Ali Yusuf on the bilateral relations between the two countries. He will also meet with several state officials.
The Foreign Minister welcomed the Turkish official’s visit, stating according to “Sudan News Agency” that the visit comes within the framework of the developing bilateral relations between the two countries and the recent communications between the leaderships of both countries, affirming the ties that bind the two countries and their fraternal peoples.
He added that it also comes as a confirmation of Turkey’s concern for what is happening in Sudan and its solidarity with the Sudanese people in facing the grave violations committed by the rebellious Rapid Support Forces militia.
He described the visit as significant as it coincides with the country’s celebrations of the glorious Independence Day and confirms Turkey’s support for Sudan in defending its land and protecting its people.
