The joint forces confirmed that the operational and field situation in North Darfur, specifically in the city of El Fasher, is progressing excellently according to the planned strategy.
The official spokesperson for the joint forces, Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, told “Al-Muhaqqiq” news site that the joint forces and the regular army are expected to soon clean up the city of El Fasher, which will serve as a starting point for clearing the remaining cities in the Darfur region and other Sudanese cities.
He stated that the joint forces have dealt the militia successive defeats along the desert axis, inflicting heavy losses in both lives and equipment. The militia has failed on the ground and now relies on small pockets of remnants, carrying out infiltration operations and skirmishes in the eastern peripheral neighborhoods of El Fasher. He added that the RSF and their mercenaries are now solely relying on artillery fire from outside the city, targeting residential areas filled with civilians, as well as continuously attacking the displacement camps in Zamzam, Neveesha, and Abu Shouk, in addition to targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly the women’s and maternity hospital.
