On Wednesday, soldiers in the army announced that they had regained control of the city of Hajj Abdullah and advanced northward to Al-Shakabah Al-Nour and the village of Mahla near the city of Wad Madani, the capital of the Gezira state.
Army soldiers posted videos on social media showing their control of Hajj Abdullah and Mahla, which is located about 13 kilometers west of Wad Madani, along the road leading to Managil.
Military sources told “Sudan Tribune” that, after taking control of Hajj Abdullah in the south of Gezira state, the army advanced to the village of Al-Shakabah Al-Nour, where the Rapid Support Forces were stationed. It is approximately 20 kilometers from Wad Madani.
