The Chairman of the Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, praised the supportive and backing positions of the Republic of Mali for Sudan in all international and regional forums, as well as its commitment to Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and stability.
In statements to the media in Mali at the conclusion of his visit to Bamako, Al-Burhan expressed: “We express our thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Assimi Goita, President of the Republic of Mali, for his warm reception and hospitality, which reflects a long-standing and strong relationship and sincere intentions towards Sudan.”
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council confirmed that his visit to Mali comes as part of strengthening cooperation between Sudan and African countries, fostering unity and solidarity, and supporting the national sovereignty of African nations. He added that the visit aims to open new avenues for joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
He stressed the importance of unifying political stances in international and regional forums on African issues and working towards finding solutions for the continent’s problems within the African framework, calling for the strengthening of regional and international organizations.
He also added, “We welcome everything proposed for the future cooperation between the two countries, confirming Sudan’s commitment to building strong and solid relations with Mali to serve the interests of both nations and strengthen national positions,” announcing that it was agreed to form joint ministerial committees to support and enhance future cooperation between the two countries.
