Al-Burhan: Determined to Cleanse Sudan of Militias

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held an official meeting with President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone.
The session focused on the bilateral relations between the two countries, exploring ways to strengthen and develop cooperation across various fields, and discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Al-Burhan expressed his gratitude to the President of Sierra Leone for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of advancing relations to achieve the aspirations of the two nations’ peoples and support the path of cooperation. He highlighted the strong historical ties between Sudan and Sierra Leone.
During the talks, Al-Burhan reviewed developments in Sudan, including efforts to achieve security, stability, and peace. He condemned the systematic crimes and atrocities committed by terrorist militias against the state and its institutions, displacing innocent citizens. He affirmed the military’s determination to cleanse every inch of Sudanese land defiled by the Al-Dagalow terrorist militia.
President Julius Maada Bio welcomed Al-Burhan’s visit, noting it would strengthen cooperation between the two nations for mutual benefit. He reiterated Sierra Leone’s commitment to supporting Sudan’s peace efforts and expressed hope for an end to the suffering of Sudanese citizens.
The two leaders also held a closed meeting to discuss several pressing issues and developments in Sudan.
