Kenyan Authorities Cancel RSF Press Conference in Nairobi

Sudan Events – Agencies
Kenyan security forces prevented the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from holding a scheduled press conference at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi on Monday. Journalists and media representatives waited for over an hour and a half, only to be informed of the cancellation.
According to sources, Kenya’s Ministry of Interior instructed the hotel to cancel the event and directed all RSF activities in Kenya to cease. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) summoned RSF representatives, requesting prior coordination for such events.
A journalist present reported that one of the organizers was delayed due to a flight issue, while sources indicated that the DCI demanded diplomatic approval through Sudan’s embassy in Kenya for future RSF activities.
This development comes after the RSF suffered a major defeat in Wad Madani, the capital of Gezira State, and following U.S. sanctions against RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti).
