A joint force from the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdul Wahid Nour and the Sudan Liberation Movement – Forces of Liberation led by Tahir Hajar was attacked on Thursday by the Rapid Support Forces near the town of “Kabkabiya” in North Darfur. This resulted in the death of many soldiers from both movements and the destruction of military vehicles.
Military sources told Sudan Tribune that a large force from the Sudan Liberation Movement and the Sudan Liberation Movement – Forces of Liberation, accompanying a convoy transporting displaced people from the Zamzam camp in El Fasher to the town of Tina, came under a heavy attack east of Kabkabiya.
The sources confirmed that the RSF killed many soldiers from the two movements and captured others, as well as destroying combat vehicles.
