Governor of the Gezira Scheme Assesses the Damage in the Scheme

The Governor of the Gezira Scheme, Ibrahim Mustafa, made strong statements during his visit to the project’s administration, where he assessed the issues facing the Scheme. He praised the sacrifices made by the armed forces, other security forces, joint forces, the Sudanese Shield, popular resistance forces, and the mobilized in the national dignity battle for liberating the capital of Gezira State, Madani, which had witnessed a fierce war and violations committed by the Janjaweed militias since the end of last year.
He congratulated the Director of the project and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the allies of the national dignity battle for the victories achieved on all battlefronts, especially in Gezira State. He also commended the patience and endurance of the citizens and farmers who were displaced by the war, saying, “Your heroic armed forces have triumphed for you.”
He criticized the traitors and rumor mongers who hide behind keyboards spreading lies, boasting of the great sacrifices made by the army.
The visit to the project administration in Barakat was part of his move with the leadership of the southern axis in Sennar State, where he assessed the issues facing the project, especially regarding water, farmers, and fields, as part of his inspection tour to assess the damage caused by the militias to the project’s infrastructure and facilities. He also checked on the progress of reform and reconstruction programs.
