Authorities in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, deployed military reinforcements in markets and relocated Sudanese nationals to safe areas on Friday following riots protesting alleged violations committed against South Sudanese citizens in the city of Wad Madani.
Sources in Juba confirmed to Sudan Tribune that three Sudanese nationals were killed, and seven others were injured during the riots in Juba, which targeted Sudanese traders in response to reports of the killing of South Sudanese nationals in Wad Madani.
