The security committee in the River Nile state announced on Saturday morning that anti-aircraft defenses had downed three suicide drones.
According to “Al-Haddad Media,” the anti-aircraft systems thwarted an explosive attack planned by the rebellious militia, which aimed to target strategic sites, including the electricity conversion station in the Al-Maqrin area in Atbara. The attack was part of a broader plan to destroy vital institutions and the country’s infrastructure, especially power stations, to plunge Sudan into complete blackouts after the militia’s recent failure to target the Merowe Dam with drones.
