Militia Continues Killings and Looting in Abu Kouta Countryside

For three consecutive days, the Rapid Support Forces militia continued its attacks on villages in the Abu Kouta countryside, which includes more than 140 villages. They launched attacks on the villages of (Al-Katir Al-Awamrah, Al-Arik, Al-Zahrab, Al-Sawajir, Al-Tayyar, and Al-Shiqayb), resulting in the killing of citizen Adam Ali Al-Zubair Haj Ahmed Al-Mahboub, after more than a hundred cows were looted from his herd. A number of martyrs fell in the village of “Al-Tayyar,” but their names have not been recorded.
According to eyewitnesses, reported by Moujaz Al-Jazeera, the militia imposes financial ransoms on the residents of each village in Abu Kouta countryside, ranging from five to eight million Sudanese pounds monthly, claiming to provide protection. These payments are transferred by expatriates, while the militia simultaneously loots the region’s large livestock, even as they force citizens to feed them.
It is noteworthy that the number of martyrs in the Abu Kouta countryside alone has exceeded 600 since the militia’s invasion of the Al-Jazeera state.
