“Zadna International” Commits to Reconstruction Projects in Khartoum

On Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the state of Khartoum and Zadna International for Investment, in the presence of the state governor, Ahmed Othman Hamza. According to the agreement, Zadna will undertake reconstruction projects in the state, becoming the first national company to heed the nation’s call for rebuilding efforts.
Governor Hamza emphasized that the door is open to all companies to participate in the reconstruction process, noting a shared commitment to take practical steps by immediately commencing project implementation. He explained that the reconstruction effort spans both wartime and post-war periods, alongside strategic future projects.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the state by Hadi Abdelsayed, Secretary-General of the State Government, and on behalf of Zadna by Dr. Omar Haj Hamid. The signing was attended by the Reconstruction Projects Coordinator, Omdurman Executive Director Saifuddin Mokhtar, Investment Commissioner Ihab Hashim Ismail, and the state’s Director of Investments, Al-Nagi Banga.
The agreement stipulates that Zadna will work on restoring and operating essential services, in addition to construction, roads, agriculture, renewable energy, and the provision of consumer goods.
A representative of Zadna stated that the company will focus on meeting the humanitarian needs of citizens affected by the war, as well as psychological and social rehabilitation, aiming to alleviate the conflict’s impact.
In his remarks, Hadi Abdelsayed described the memorandum as one of the outcomes of the reconstruction workshop recently organized by the state. He praised Zadna for its competence, extensive capabilities, and long-standing experience across various sectors.
