Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Justice and Equality Movement, Jibril Ibrahim, boasted of the army and joint forces’ crushing defeat of the Rapid Support Forces militias in battles fought on Friday in El Fasher.
In a tweet, Jibril stated: “Praise be to God, who honored His soldiers, granted victory to His servants, and defeated the wicked alone. The militias came to occupy El Fasher like disobedient sinners, but as always, the city was too much for them. Their hopes in El Fasher are as futile as the Devil’s dream of heaven.”
He continued: “Salute to our Armed Forces, the joint forces, and the mobilized individuals who have demonstrated to the world the finest examples of resilience and defiance.”
