Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman confirmed that restoring life to liberated areas requires extensive efforts.
In a statement to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath on Monday, the governor explained that the concerned authorities will complete the necessary steps to allow citizens to return to recently reclaimed areas. He said, “There is significant recovery, and we have restored essential services in several areas to facilitate citizens’ return.” He stressed that reviving life after the war is a challenging and costly process, noting that water, electricity, and healthcare are among the most urgent needs for returning to normalcy. The governor also highlighted the need for extensive efforts to clear debris and resettle residents in liberated areas.
