Putin: Ukraine Conflict Could End in Two Months Without Western Aid

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday that the nearly three-year conflict in Ukraine could end in two months or less if Western support for Kyiv ceases.

According to AFP, Putin told a Russian television journalist: “They wouldn’t last a month without money or ammunition in general. Everything would end in a month and a half or two months.”

Putin also emphasized that Russia is prepared to negotiate an end to the conflict but ruled out direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming Kyiv lacks the “will” to do so.

During an interview with Russian television, Putin said Russia is open to negotiations but does not see the “will” on the Ukrainian side, rejecting any direct talks with Zelensky, whom he considers “illegitimate” as his term ended under martial law.
