Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The leader of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hamidti”, acknowledged the defeat of his forces in Al-Jili, Madani, the General Command, and the Signal Corps.
Hamidti, in a speech on Friday addressing his forces, said, “I don’t want you to think that the group entered the General Command or the Signal Corps or Al-Jili or Madani. We are thinking about what we want to take,” and he added, “Now the ranks are being distinguished; gold will be gold, and the fake will be fake.”
He downplayed the demonstrations of Sudanese people celebrating the army’s victories, saying, “The ones demonstrating are part of the people, and they are the beneficiaries. They give them dollars at two pounds, they buy wheat, make pasta, and export it to the Gulf.”
