Militia Commander Withdraws His Forces from Kafouri

Al-Ahdath – Agencies
The rebellious Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are seeking to appoint a new commander in Khartoum Bahri following the withdrawal of Idris Hassan with his forces from Kafouri amid the army’s continued advance.
A military source told “Sudan Tribune” that Idris Hassan, the RSF commander in Bahri, withdrew his forces from Kafouri to Sixty Street in central Khartoum under heavy security on Wednesday afternoon.
The source pointed out that the RSF is trying to appoint a new commander in Bahri to prevent the army’s progress, which has intensified its operations around Kafouri.
The source added that Idris’ withdrawal, due to his deteriorating health condition, caused significant confusion among RSF fighters in Khartoum Bahri.
