Brazilian star Neymar Junior asked fans to be patient with him after participating in his first match with his former club Santos, to which he moved from Al Hilal Saudi Arabia.

Neymar participated for 52 minutes in Santos’ match against Botafogo, which ended in a 1-1 draw, coinciding with his 33rd birthday celebrations on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilian star was criticized by Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus, who said that Neymar no longer has the same abilities as in the past, before the Brazilian player, who played 128 international matches, returned to Santos last week.

Neymar said: The pitch is the only place that gives me the opportunity to respond to criticism.
