The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Army, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed that there will be no ceasefire in the country unless the siege on El Fasher, Babanusa, and all other besieged areas is lifted.
During a meeting with political and community forces in Port Sudan on Saturday, Al-Burhan stated that a consensus will be reached on a civilian prime minister, and the military will not interfere in his work. He added that the government will be formed from independent technocratic ministers, in accordance with the agreement reached by political and community forces.
Al-Burhan also asserted that the Taqaddum Coordination Group has supported the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), equating them with the militia. He stressed, “There is no place for the Taqaddum Coordination unless it ceases its support for the rebellion.”
