Jibril: Those Who Expected the Economy and Army to Collapse Were Disappointed

Minister of Finance Jibril Ibrahim has reaffirmed his firm commitment to settling the arrears of the Gedaref Water Supply Project and completing the initiative so that the people of Gedaref can access clean water before the rainy season.

During a meeting with the Gedaref State Government, the minister praised the Sudanese Armed Forces and the significant victories achieved on all fronts. He also commended the people of Gedaref for hosting displaced persons, highlighting their values of solidarity and compassion. He noted that this spirit of support had brought blessings to the agricultural sector, resulting in a bountiful harvest that ensures food security for both Sudan and the region. He emphasized the government’s efforts to support the agricultural sector by transitioning from traditional farming methods to modern mechanized agriculture.

The finance minister stated that those who had expected the Sudanese economy and military to collapse had been proven wrong. He added, “The army is now in its best condition, achieving victory after victory on all fronts, while the Sudanese economy remains stable, ensuring food security.”
