The Governor of Darfur, Minni Arko Minawi, condemned the world’s silence over the genocide and massacres committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia against the people of North Darfur.
In a Facebook post, Minawi stated, “Amidst the ongoing events in El Fasher and the surrounding displacement camps, we are witnessing a systematic and selective genocide carried out by the RSF militia.” He emphasized that their disregard for international, regional, and UN resolutions reflects their cowardice and lack of humanity.
Expressing his regret over the international community’s inaction, Minawi said, “Sadly, the world stands by as a mere spectator to this massacre.” He added, “However, we must remember that their dream of controlling Darfur has become nothing but an illusion. We will not allow them to take the city as long as we are alive, and we will continue on our path to liberate the rest of the region’s cities.”
Minawi also extended his salute to the heroic fighters on the frontlines, assuring them that “victory is near.” He declared, “The whole world will soon realize that the will of the people cannot be broken and that protecting our homeland is our highest goal.”
