The former Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Hashim Abdel-Mutalib, said, “After the defeat of the Rapid Support Forces militia and its loss of the will to fight and the ability to stand against the trained Armed Forces, which work according to well-established plans based on accumulated experience, executed with precision, self-sacrifice, patience, and determination, the enemy will be defeated in the coming days.”
Hashim explained, according to “Al-Jazeera Net,” that he expects the Sudanese army to achieve victory in Greater Khartoum and the Gezira area soon. However, it may take a little longer in the Darfur region, but he reaffirmed that “Darfur will also be settled soon with the will of the men,” as he put it.
Abdel-Mutalib said, “The Rapid Support Forces militia has corrupted the land, and their punishment is to be killed, crucified, and exiled.” He added that “negotiations will come only after the last person carrying arms lays them down, when they seek peace, the war ends completely, and they acknowledge defeat, in order to restore rights and hold accountable those responsible for the war.”
