Arrangements to Resume Operations at Madani Market

The Governor of Al-Jazira State, Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair, announced the reopening of Madani Market during an inspection visit on Thursday. He reviewed the ongoing efforts in cleaning, environmental sanitation, and market rehabilitation. He praised the efforts of the Supreme Economic Emergency Committee, in coordination with Madani locality, the Chamber of Commerce, and traders’ sectors, for preparing the market in a short period.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Greater Madani Locality, Adel Al-Khatib, revealed that over 2,000 tons of waste have been removed from the market. He expressed his pride in the contributions of both official and local entities, including traders and neighboring states such as Kassala, Al-Qadarif, and White Nile, in closing the gap in equipment and expediting the cleanup process.
He also highlighted efforts to clean public transport stations and urged citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness in neighborhoods and streets.
Additionally, the State Police Chief announced a comprehensive security plan to safeguard all markets with both day and night patrols, in coordination with Greater Madani Locality.
A representative from the Chamber of Commerce affirmed that the reconstruction efforts have begun, and within the next two days, business activities in all markets in Madani will resume. He emphasized the determination of Madani’s residents across all sectors to restore the city to its former status, with continued support from the Chamber of Commerce to boost economic recovery in Al-Jazira State.
