Ban on Renewing Recovered Al-Fashaqa Lands from Ethiopians

The Acting Governor of Al-Qadarif, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Hassan Ahmed, issued State Decree No. (6) for the year 2025. This decision is based on the Emergency and Public Safety Protection Act of 1997, read in conjunction with Article (9/1/A) of the Local Governance Regulation Act of 2020, and the recommendation of the Committee for Reviewing the Grievances of Affected Farmers in the Al-Fashaqa Region.

The decree, titled “Ban on Renewing Recovered Al-Fashaqa Lands from Ethiopians,” prohibits the renewal of recovered lands in Al-Fashaqa until the committee, formed under Decree No. (103) for the year 2024, completes its review of the grievances of affected farmers in the region. Relevant authorities are instructed to enforce the decision.
